Jim & Joanie

Jim had been a member of Great Expectations for a few months and had met a number of nice ladies but not “the one.” Joanie started her membership at the Dallas office and moved to Arizona a year later. She too had met many nice men but continued to look for the man of her dreams. Joanie selected Jim and he responded with an immediate Yes! Joanie’s profile told Jim that she might be his someone special.

It took about three weeks before their schedules would allow their first date. When they finally met, there was an instant connection and a very strong attraction. They talked for hours and ate very little that night. Both knew something special had happened and didn’t want that to disappear. Within 48 hours they knew that they met that person they had been searching for. Jim proposed on New Years Day, one minute after midnight with a fireworks display as their backdrop. Needless to say she said yes and they were married in front of their children and grandchildren in April.
