They have a fun little dog together and Christina looks forward to becoming a step-mom. Both would recommend Great Expectations to anyone that is skeptical. The advice that they offer is to just be HONEST and to communicate 100% of the time! The couple became engaged on 06/11/2011 and plans to wed on 03/17/2012. They are looking forward to spending some time bicycling in Europe on their honeymoon. We wish the happy couple many more adventures together and a lifetime of happiness!

After many great phone conversations they decided to set a date to meet. They new after their second visit together that this was meant to be. Theresa moved to Florida just four months after they met and the two have been inseparable ever since.  Russell and Theresa were engaged December 2010 and married June 21, 2011. Their advice for other GE members is to “hang in there it worked for us it will work for you”.

Bill was a member for almost a year and a half when they met and Debbie only a few months. He selected her and they started out as friends, but decided to make a commitment to one another in November of 2010. That was a wonderful life changing decision and the couple became engaged on 03/16/2011 and married on 07/30/2011. The happy couple spent their honeymoon in Vale, Colorado.

Both members said they would tell anyone that is skeptical about joining Great Expectations, “that is was definitely worth every penny that we paid to finally find someone!”

The normal age range search was five years younger and five years older than me.  I spotted Mike’s profile and we seemed to have many interests in common and he seemed very nice, so I requested to meet him.  After going through a few more members, I realized there were members on the results that were outside my age range, which is when I realized my error.  Mike is actually ten years older than me, but he’s so active and acts younger than many guys my age, so I think it was fate that I didn’t enter the age range that day.  We met for drinks and then the next day he emailed me to invite me for dinner and a movie that weekend.

We had so much in common, including the fact that we belonged to two of the same motorcycle groups, but we just hadn’t met yet, and he lived about two miles from where I work.  He got me back on my bicycle and I got him started rock climbing and took him on a number of hikes including a backpacking trip to Havasupai last May.  We’ve had a wonderful year together and are now making arrangements to move in together!

Both Michael and Kimberly felt a certain comfort level knowing that our members are screened.  They also mentioned the staff was so friendly!  Kim decided to select Michael and it was love at first sight!  They realized they had everything in common and the chemistry was very apparent.

They made their relationship official when they married on July 12, 2011.  They spent their honeymoon in Florida and Michigan celebrating with family and friends.  Congratulations to Michael and Kimberly on their happily ever after!

One of our matchmakers suggested that Dyan go out with Mark who had joined Great Expectations just one month before Dyan. He was looking for a “quality woman”. The two hit it off and became engaged on 07/02/11. They were married on 09/03/11 and the honeymoon was in “Cancun baby!”

Mark said, “He found exactly what he was looking for and that they just fit together like a glove” with Dyan adding that “he literally moved me”. We wish the happy couple a long and happy life together.

Within two months of Renee joining, Rich picked Renee.  He soon figured out that she was the one that God had picked for him!  The happy couple became engaged on November 10, 2010 and was married on April 28, 2011.  They honeymooned at Niagra Falls.  They tell people who are skeptical about joining GE that it’s definitely worth it!

She wanted to find a more suitable match for herself.  The two had been working out at the same gym for several weeks, when Luke recognized her from the GE member profile page.  Luke had been a member for five months and Angela for over a year when he selected her.

They say their personalities were far from matching, but their interests were very similar.  They were training for the same marathon when they met!  On January 11, 2010, on the beach in Maui the happy couple was married.  They recommend to others to have patience.  “You may not find your match right away, so give it time”.

They are from two completely different cultures and backgrounds, but just seemed to have so much in common.  Paul and Susana both say they found more than just love, they found it all – their best friend, soul mate, and the one person they both want to turn to for the good and bad.

Betsy joined because she felt ready to take a chance and hoped to meet a man who was serious about beginning a committed relationship.  Both say the background checks done on all GE members made them feel safe.  They were only members for months when Betsy contacted Ben.

The happy couple became engaged on June 9, 2010.  Their wedding is set for June 4, 2011.  The couple offered some advice to others to follow your instincts and allow love to blossom!

Jameelah selected Chad about two to three months into her membership and said that his video really struck her interest because it showed off his personality.  She also said she was skeptical to join at first, but everything was so professional and that thee photo shoot and video add the extra touch that you don’t get anywhere else.

The happy couple became engaged after two years of dating, and were married on June 28, 2009.  They now have one beautiful son together!

Cheryl was skeptical at first about having a long distance relationship, but it was well worth it because she says they are meant to be!  Sean has since moved to the Cleveland area and the happy couple is living together.

A wedding date has yet to be set, but the planning is in the works.  Congratulations to Sean and Cheryl!

The happy couple have enjoyed time traveling, going to shows and the theater, and just spending many nights at home staying up late just talking and laughing.  Both Jim and Barb had been married previously and both have children.  They have moved in together and are enjoying sharing their lives together!

Luckily they joined within 3 months of one another so it did not take long for the membership to work for them!  Geoffrey had only been a member for one month and Kim just three months when Geoff selected Kim.  They were well suited from the start and enjoyed a lot of the same activities.

After being engaged for eight and a half months, the couple was married on March 30, 2010.  They enjoyed a romantic honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii.

The couple began dating and became engaged on April 10, 2010 after a candlelight dinner.  They were married on May 26, 2010 and honeymooned in Las Vegas and the South Pacific.  They tell people how GE really does work and that our clients are thoroughly screened for safer dating.

We went to Oceanaire Seafood Restaurant at Piedmont Row in Charlotte for our first date.  We both love seafood so it was the perfect place.  I arrived exactly one minute before I told her I would pick her up, and she was ready!  There was a very strong mutual attraction the minute she opened the door.  It was a bit chilly outside so Zaidy kept her jacket on through the entire dinner.  We went across the street to a wine bar for after dinner drinks and she finally took her jacket off.  Wow, the attraction was even stronger then.

Zaidy and I both thought the staff of Great Expectations was great. Zaidy got help with writing her profile since English is not her first language.  The photographer was great (but I thought I took a lousy photo, but everything turned out okay anyway…… lol). The video interviews were definitely a nice touch.

Future plans are on hold right now, but will involve the date July 2nd (not sure of the year, but they will happen). I would never have found my Zaidy without Great Expectations and the lovely ladies at the front desk… Thanks again!

I wanted for my mom to have fun with a very special someone. I wanted for her to continue traveling and share special moments with a very nice gentleman. I wanted for her to have a best friend and that they could take care of each other.

My mom was not used to dating, the process, etc., so I encouraged her to join Great Expectations. My mom is very, very picky (after 20 years of marriage who wouldn’t be?)…Being a member of GE gave her the power to choose who she will go out with without going through uncomfortable dates and weird stories. We saw this very nice gentleman, read his profile and my husband and I thought it might be the perfect guy for her.

Needless to say that she was hesitant and SHE didn’t see anything in common, no way was she going to go out with him.  After some persuasion and convincing she agreed to go out with him……Today they have been married for 4 years, they are inseparable.  They spend every minute of their lives together, they travel, they play, they explore and they have fun, TOGETHER!  They come and visit my family, we go to their home and have lots of fun as a big, happy family.  I couldn’t be happier and neither could they.  Thank you GE.

The happily couple were married on June 13, 2010 and will take a honeymoon trip to Alaska.  When asked what they tell people who are skeptical about joining GE, Eleene said, “We recommend GE for many reasons, but safety is a big one.  Safe guards are in place, such as background checks and pictures are taken by the staff to ensure they are current.  When you had a good marriage, you want that again and this is the company you want to be a part of”.

He kept his word of not getting engaged until I finished my Masters Degree. The night of my graduation party, Mike proposed a toast to the graduate and got down on one knee in front of my friends and family and asked me to marry him! I said “Yes!” immediately.

One of the things I love most about Mike is that he believes in me even when I have a hard time believing in myself. He is all I expected and so much more. I know I have truly found my soul mate, and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him. I hope our story helps give people hope that Great Expectations is a company that works!

Allison said that she had a couple of bad experiences with online dating and that the information about the people was not accurate. She also mentioned that she had been a prior GE member 25 years before!  The happy couple said that they tell people who are considering joining GE to “be patient and be willing to choose out of your comfort zone because you will be surprised at who you will find”!

Several months later, Al needed shoulder surgery. He was reluctant to go ahead with the operation because he lived alone and would need someone to help him for 3-4 weeks afterwards.  Halina offered to let Al stay with her after the surgery!  Although Halina took excellent care of Al, he was soon well enough to take care of himself; however he never moved back to his apartment.

They have now been living together for four months with plans to make it permanent.  They plan to get married sometime in the future so we will be looking forward to an update to their success story!

After a 26 year marriage and a little more than 2 years of separation and divorce, I was ready to find a friend first and hopefully a partner second. The typical negative internet experiences and casually meeting someone on my own had me very anxious.

Sue had been out on her own for 2 ½ years as a single woman with a few bad relationship experiences. She approached Great Expectations with some optimism, but was also reconciled to spending the rest of her life without a partner.

I was very impressed with the counselor’s obvious attempts to get to know me and my wishes once I joined. I picked a handful of women, but contacted none of them due to a life altering experience that caused me to freeze my profile despite being a brand new member.

Sue Joined during my short hiatus. When I decided that I was ready to venture out, my Great Expectations counselor told me about Sue as a new member whose profile I had not seen yet. I read her profile and added her to the top of my list.

Sue accepted my request to communicate. After a few phone conversations, we met and knew we had both met someone special. Ten months later we are deeply committed to each other and still giddy about the remarkable circumstances surrounding how we met each other.

Having exceeded our expectations with the first dating experience as members, we realize that we are a unique story. However, we feel that our experience is a great example of what can happen with the Great Expectations program.

As our relationship continues to climb to new heights, Sue and I will always be indebted to Great Expectations and the counselor who recommended Sue to me as some one she thought would be a great match for me.

As a single mom I had a lot on my plate to take care of: I was a business owner, had a big house and a very active little boy who wanted my full attention…needless to say that I did not have the time to find “love” less go through the painful process of meeting new people getting to know them and waste my time…Every minute of my life I was busy, very busy.

Because my family, my friends and everyone who cared about me kept telling me that I was too young to give up on love I decided to join “Great Expectations”.  I had seen their ads, I had received their direct mails, etc… So, I decided that it was time to go “shopping” for the perfect guy (I did not what to go through the club scene, or blind dates, or bar dating, or anything like that)…Through GE’s process I did not have to meet, get to know them, give it time and see if we had something in common. At GE all I had to do is look at the pictures, read their profiles, talk on the phone and if there were two thumbs up and a lot of chemistry and a lot in common, then we could set up a date… Easy enough for a busy single mother and a business owner…

…And the story continues like this: My first try…guess who I found! That wonderful, handsome man that I had lost touch with 18 years ago ! He was there, he was also part of GE, he had also gone to a similar time and situation just like me.  Today we have been together and married for 6 years.  We are very, very happy.  He is my best friend, we are business partners, a great daddy to my son and THE LOVE OF MY LIFE.  I am thankful to everyone who push me to try to give love another chance and I am so thankful for GE’s staff and support that help me go through the process of dating all over again!

Larry said she just couldn’t resist him and that actually led to the proposal!  The happy couple became engaged and were married six months later on December 16, 2007.  They honeymooned in New Orleans.  Janice said that “GE is the best way to pre-qualify potential suitors”.

Our first date was at a restaurant that Henry couldn’t find for nearly an hour and a half; by the time he finally got there my one year old grandson had eaten all off Herk’s calamari and had been entertaining the other restaurant patrons by throwing the bread all over the floor… followed by the bread basket itself!

Perhaps it was due to the unusual tone of the date that made him want another but I knew he was special when I-out of frustration- asked him to hold my grandson for a minute while I got the bread off the floor and got my coat on- he had such a caring and patient look on his face and was so gentle towards my very active boy- I knew he was a keeper.

We have been together now for a year and a half and I expect will be together for the next thirty years!!! We are getting married February 12, 2011 in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.

You need to tell people who join Great Expectations not to lose hope- I dated three guys from there and they were all great guys just not for me. I am grateful for Great Expectations- I never thought of using a service like that and my friends thought I was crazy but… I now know that it was a God-thing for sure!

I reflect back to when I was a member for about a month and was ready to give up on everything and back out; I was coached by a few staff members at GE and told to hang in there, start attending events, and just be a more active member of the program. I even started attending the events. It is because of my decision to stay involved that I was fortunate enough to have met Connie, who had only been a ember for about a week. Before we knew it, we were dating on a regular basis.

We both agree that joining Great Expectations was definitely the right thing to do!

They first met in July of 2008 and quickly became friends.  The romance blossomed from there.  The couple became engaged in April of 2009 and were married June 11, 2009.  They honeymooned at Niagra Falls.  The happy couple said they felt the GE profiles brought them together and they would have never met without GE!

Due to our opposite schedules and living on opposite ends of the Valley, it took 2-3 weeks before we set up a date. His humor continued in his emails and I began to wonder if he could ever be serious. I was becoming leery, but I figured I would still give it a chance.

We met for lunch on a Sunday after church. When I saw him walking up to the restaurant, I immediately liked his look and the way he carried himself. I got up to hug him as he approached the table (I don’t know what came over me, but it was natural without thinking). I had a great time liking him more and more each second. We discussed ex spouses, religion, and politics. Both of us commented that we probably were ruining the opportunity by discussing such matters. When the meal was finished I was disappointed, and apparently he was too because he asked me to go walk around the shopping center across the freeway.

I was elated and we continued our date walking, talking, sitting and talking until it was way past when either of us had planned. He drove me back to my car and asked me for a second date. We waited another 2 weeks (due to schedules) and had our second date at night. He met me at the restaurant with a hired rickshaw and we toured downtown Scottsdale while we waited for our table. I really liked him by now. We finished with him asking me for a third date. After the third date, he told me he didn’t want another 2 weeks to go by without seeing me, so we set a date for the following week. After the fourth date I thought to myself that I was in love with this man. By this point I had been dwindling my other dating as we continued to see each other weekly and were speaking on the phone almost every day.

Annette said on the first date she could just tell what a great guy he was; but the more time they spent together the more she knew what a loving, family oriented, fun guy he was. It was in April that Rick proposed on a horse drawn carriage in Central Park, New York City and they were married March 31.

Paul proposed to Charla on July 26th, 2009 and they married on September 19th, 2009. Their honeymoon was a 10 day trip to Taos and Santa Fe to relax, do some shopping, and visit all of the artsy restaurants and galleries. When asked what made them decide to join Great Expectations, Charla said that she was married once as a very young woman and needed to learn how to date again.  She had heard that the gentleman in Great Expectations were very nice and safe. Paul had a very similar opinion and liked Great Expectations because it has a higher class of women. Paul and Charla both highly recommend Great Expectations as a great place to pre-select dates based on what you are looking for.

The two became engaged in June 2009 and were married on December 5, 2009.  They tell people who are skeptical about joining Great Expectations that it is worth the investment!  Doug said that he wanted to meet an outstanding woman that would lead to a relationship and marriage, which is exactly what happened!

They were married on April 5, 2009, which was exactly one year to the hour that they met!  That was done intentionally of course.  Kevin had joined Great Expectations because he was looking for someone to share his life with.  Beth had joined after trying other dating services briefly without success.

Pat came across Gary and selected him after a few months of entering into our service. He responded back with a definite yes, and from there they were no longer planning their lives as individuals, but as a couple!

Gary was happy to inform us that he had successfully met the woman he plans on sharing his life with for the rest of his days.  Patricia and Gary were married back in October of 2006 and have been happily together ever since.  The couple equally agrees that Great Expectations successfully worked for them; and in comparison to other online single and dating websites, Great Expectations had a better caliber of members and made it possible for both of them to find true love in all its entirety!

From that first moment when I saw him walking across the parking lot on our first date, I knew and said to myself “Oh yes, this will work”. That was 13 years ago, March 2nd. I will not say that there haven’t been rocky moments but through it all we have come out the other side together.

I know that there is no point in arguing because I know I am not going to win and besides, he is my “One” so I can deal with the occasional “frustration”.

I regard him as a gift and I never hesitate to tell him as much. Life has been an interesting journey for me and Great Expectations was only the beginning of one of the most important blessings in my life!

Dave and I locked our eyes that evening and have been together in a successful relationship ever since.

He is my best friend, my partner in life, and adored husband. Each year that goes by, we grow fonder and more in love with one another. Great Expectations is a private service that opens doors to busy professionals who are seriously looking for that one special person with whom they can share life’s journeys.

After a short time dating, they could not stand to be apart. Tim proposed to Laverne on August 1, 2009 and they were happily married on September 26, 2009. They could not be happier with each other! When asked what made them decide to join Great Expectations, they both mentioned that they wanted to find someone who was serious about finding “the one”.

In addition, they mentioned that Great Expectations is a wonderful avenue for finding serious, like-minded singles with an emphasis on marriage.

Ellie joined because she was finding it difficult to find the right person through other means.  They clicked right away and became engaged in May 2007 and married on May 18, 2008.  They enjoyed an Alaskan cruise for their honeymoon!

When asked what they would tell people who are skeptical about joining Great Expectations, they said, “you get to know the person through detailed bio information and video before meeting in person or deciding whether you want to meet the person; therefore there is no embarrassment”.

Just a side note to others looking for love: I originally checked the “no” box to someone with children. I wanted kids, but wanted to have them solely with the person I married. As I was turning in my paperwork to the office to get started, one of the girls at the front desk noticed this and asked me to reconsider. She said there were a lot of great guys out there and I would miss out on some if I checked “no”. I changed my answer to “yes” and it was the best thing I ever did! I am now married to my soul mate, best friend, the man I feel God created for me, and I have two wonderful children! God has richly blessed me. We plan on having at least one child between the two of us as well.

Going into the whole Great Expectations experience, I was a little concerned with the initial investment. However, I thought of all the happily married couples that I have known over the years and if you asked them to put a price tag on their relationship, I think they would say that there is not a dollar amount large enough to purchase what they have. Also, to think of the extraordinary person I have found and the great relationship we have with each other, none of it would be possible without Great Expectations, which is scary to consider because I can’t imagine my life without my partner. To summarize, Great Expectations gave two people, who are seemingly perfect together, the opportunity to meet each other. Without Great Expectations we would be on two different sides of the Valley, probably never crossing paths with each other on our own.

Back to Beginning

Joining GE was the beginning of a whole new dating world for Tene.  Anthony picked Tene and she almost said “No.”  As soon as she responded “Yes,” he called to see when they could meet.  A couple of weeks went by before they went on their second date.

At midnight on New Year’s Eve, Anthony asked Tene to marry him. On August 30 – eight months after Anthony proposed, and a year after they met – they were married!  They spent their honeymoon in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.

They both had a strong inclination when they joined Great Expectations that they would meet their future spouses in the program.  People used to tell Tene, “You’ll just know when you meet the right one, and when she met Anthony, they really did “just click” and they “both feel privileged to have met one another” through GE!

On August 25, Mike popped the question and Angela said “YES!”  They were married June 21 and honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.

When asked what made them decide to join Great Expectations and what they would like to tell a potential new member,  both said that they were tired of the bar scene and friends setting them up. Mike also mentioned he was new to the area and wanted the opportunity to meet people. They also said “Yes, we recommend GE because it obviously worked and don’t hesitate to get involved & meet people.”

That caught Shena’s attention!  Shena and Lawrence were both busy professionals who wanted to meet someone they could fall in love with, support, and of course get married and start a family. 

They definitely came to the right place.  Their joint love of traveling and staying active drew them even closer.  They tied the knot on August 24, 2009 and honeymooned in St. Lucia.  The happy couple both said they would recommend Great Expectations to people serious about dating because it helped them find their soulmate.

They are so happy about their lives together and said, “We are on such a great adventure in our lives and enjoy doing so many things together from doing dishes and house work, to scuba divining and boating.”  When asked what made them decide to join Walter said, “I was tired of playing games and GE screens the clients so you get a better quality of dates,” and Suzi said, “I agree with Walter and plus I Really wasn’t doing to well with dating on my own.”

When asked what they would like to share to members and potential new members they said, “Just join. The screening of member’s is the most important and there are still old fashioned values that many people have forgotten.”

They have no children yet, but are planning to have them in a few years. Roger told us that he decided to join GE because he was tired of the set-up and the bar scene. “I just wanted to meet more people similar to me.” Lisa added that she was interested in GE from the informational letter she received in the mail.

When asked, what would you say to someone considering joining Great Expectations, they replied, “we highly recommend it. It is a very professional operation and a good way to meet friends, lovers and networking contacts.”

Holly joined Great Expectations and was an active member for six months and Jack for only one short month. Jack selected Holly and from the first date they found it very easy to talk and had so much in common. They both felt as if they had known each other for years.

They dated for a few months before deciding to go inactive together and it was in February that Jack popped the question. They were married July 29 and honeymooned in the Bahamas.

When asked what they would like to share to members and potential new members they said, “Give it a try, it is a great, safe way to meet really nice, established people.”

From the get go they had so much fun together, Keith would send Kerrie cards just to say hello and let her know he was thinking of her. They are very happy about their lives together and are very excited to start the next chapter of their lives together. When asked what made them decide to join GE they said that they just wanted to find someone that shared similar interests and GE provided that.

GE also asked what they would like to say to someone considering joining and they said they highly recommend the program to someone who is looking to meet someone special without going on blind dates or fix-ups. “GE works much better than match.com or singles.net.”

On June 24 they made it official and exchanged nuptials and honeymooned in Hawaii. Both William and Eileen were married previously and had their own children but are so happy to blend their lives and start a new life together.

When asked what they would say to a current member or someone considering joining GE they both said, “If you are serious about a relationship then you are in the right place.”

Finally, on July 2, they made it official and exchanged nuptials. They honeymooned in Sedona, Arizona, and visited the Grand Canyon. Both Paul and Bernice were married previously and are now excited more than ever to start their lives together.

When asked what they would say to a current member or someone considering joining GE they both said, “Just keep trying, when you meet the right one you will know; don’t give up or get discouraged.”

They enjoy going to the movies and have lots of other common interests, including helping each other around the house since they both work part time. After three or four months together, they went to a nice romantic weekend getaway. They have since decided to move in together and are enjoying life together as a committed couple. Evelyn says, “Steve is my best friend!”

When asked what they would share with a potential new member they both said, “Do not be skeptical we both HIGHLY recommend GE. It has a very professional atmosphere and is very ethical.”

They got married October 18 and honeymooned at Disney World. They are very excited to start their lives together and hope to have kids in the next few years.

When asked what they would like to share with members and potential new members they happily said, “GE worked for the two of us and we are very satisfied.”

They decided on a destination wedding and honeymoon at Sandal’s Royal Bahamian Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. We recently followed up with them to see how lives as newlyweds were going and they are very happy together. Joe and Christine are very excited to be married and get compliments all the time on how much in love they are.

When asked what they would like to share with members and potential new members they said, “GE brought us together and we are grateful for this opportunity that may have never been. We each can honestly say that we met the love of our life. The membership fee was a small price to pay for us to find each other. No one should ever walk away from the chance of finding his or her soulmate!”

It took about three weeks before their schedules would allow their first date. When they finally met, there was an instant connection and a very strong attraction. They talked for hours and ate very little that night. Both knew something special had happened and didn’t want that to disappear. Within 48 hours they knew that they met that person they had been searching for. Jim proposed on New Years Day, one minute after midnight with a fireworks display as their backdrop. Needless to say she said yes and they were married in front of their children and grandchildren in April.

When asked what they would like to say about GE they said, “We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing us together. We look forward to telling our story to our friends and family.”

They decided to become engaged September and got married October 10. Their honeymoon was spent in Austin at Lake Travis. Both Michael and Caressina were married previously and had children before meeting and are now excited more than ever to start their lives together.

When asked what they would say to someone considering joining GE they both said, “as a member of Great Expectations you can date with confidence because each member is screened and people interested in dating for the wrong reasons are eliminated.”

They literally met at the Wayne County (Ohio) airport! Elys will never forget how beautiful that raspberry topped plane looked gliding down for a landing just for her, or how hard it was to see it fly off into the night sky when he left for the evening. Now the sound of plane engines turn both of their heads skyward.

They knew they were meant for each other when on an early spring walk; the words “when we’re married” slipped into conscious conversation and surprised them both with the realization that they were thinking the same thing. Michael and Elys are so well matched, it’s as if God had this planned from the beginning and they are so excited to see what he has in store for their new future together!

When asked if they would recommend GE or what they would say to someone considering joining they said, “Go for it!! When you are looking for someone and are ready to commit…join a place where you meet people with similar objectives.”

They are extremely happy to start their lives together and when asked about their experience with Great Expectations they said, “you never know who you might meet and it shouldn’t make a difference where they might live because your soul mate isn’t going to live across the street from you.”

David had been a member of GE for a year and Ruth had only been a member for 2 months when Ruth selected David. Their first date was January 22, and David proposed on January 15 of the next year.

They got married April 27 and honeymooned in Phoenix, Arizona. Both Ruth and David were married previously and had children before meeting and are now more than ever excited to start their lives together.

When asked what they would say to someone considering joining GE they both said, “To just give it a shot, what do you have to lose?”

Through their courtship they learned they had many of the same likes and dislikes.  It was on January 28th that David popped the question. On August 19 they tied the knot and spent their honeymoon driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and The Skyline Drive to just explore together.

When asked what they would say to someone considering joining GE they both said, “it is a great service that works and to ask LOTS of questions.”

Warren and Carmen were married on June 1 of the next year and honeymooned on Mackinac Island, which is a small resort Island in Michigan. Both Warren and Carmen were previously married. It was through GE that they were able to start a new life together.

When asked what made them decide to join GE Carmen said, “I wanted to find someone who shares my values and GE was a great way to find out about someone else before meeting him.” We also asked what they would say to someone considering joining GE and in unison they both exclaimed, “It was the best money we ever spent!”

Within a very short time they just knew that it was meant to be and that their relationship was ready to move to the next level. On May 28,  Carl proposed to Theresa and on June 7 they were married in a beautiful ceremony. Both were previously married and are excited to start their new lives together.

When asked what the one thing they would like to share to members and potential new members they said, “Be honest and express who you are when writing your personal profile. Knowing your interests and your own personality, humor, etc. will make you that much more likely to succeed.”

It was through GE that they were able to start a life together and move on to the next chapter of life. When asked what made them decide to join GE both said, they “wanted to meet other quality singles.”

We also asked what they would say to someone considering joining GE and they both happily said, “We highly recommend this service because it is so hard to get out there and find people with the same values and interests as yourself and GE does an amazing job!”

They spent their honeymoon in beautiful Niagara Falls.   Both Bob and Gloria were previously married. It was through GE that they were able to start a new life together. When asked what made them decide to join GE both said they “wanted to meet other quality singles.”

We also asked what they would say to someone considering joining GE and in unison they both happily said, “Give it a try!  It worked for us!”

They were married August 18 and honeymooned in Canada enjoying the outdoors and their new found lives together. They said that it was through the attentive and helpful staff that they were introduced. Ken and Nancy both said that if it wasn’t for the always positive, upbeat staff that kept them both motivated in the program, they probably would have never met.

When asked what they would like to tell a potential new member they both said to “be open-minded and that GE provided us with the opportunity and we thank you all for our future together!”

They both joined Great Expectations with hopes to meet better, more quality singles and couldn’t be happier with each other. They are enjoying their new life together and are planning to have kids in the near future.

When asked what they would like to share with someone considering becoming a member they both said, “Just try it. If you are serious about finding someone you are comfortable with, you are in the right place.”

They somehow got into a conversation about dentures and partials. Anna didn’t know what a partial was and Mike said “It look like this!” and flicked it out right at the dinner table. Anna was horrified but somehow couldn’t help but find herself laughing. Then when they arrived at the Improv Mike realized he accidentally only purchased one ticket, but thank God the Improv was gracious about it and slipped them in!

After the first date Anna just knew he was the one. Mike proposed three months later right before they went to a Diamondbacks game. They were married July 23 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. “Thank you Great Expectations for bringing us together. If not for you, our paths would never have crossed!

They were married October 20 the following year and spent their honeymoon at Disney World in Florida. It was through GE that they were able to start their next chapter together. They do not have children yet but do have a Schnauzer together that is quite spoiled!

When asked what one thing they would like to share with potential new members they both agreed and said, “Don’t give up and keep going to events and selecting people. Also don’t judge a book by its cover.”

The ability to communicate through e-mail and phone before divulging more personal information was important to them. The background checks conducted by Great Expectations were confidence building. Both were tentative at first, but quickly warmed up and were astonished at how much they had in common. Fast forwarding a few months, they found themselves profoundly in love and got married on April 26, 2008.

When asked to share their comments they both exclaimed “Thank you Great Expectations for making this fairy tale come true. You could not have done it better!”

The very next day on their introductory phone call, it turned into a seven hour conversation. The things they had in common were amazing, likes and dislikes, ideas and dreams for the future. That was in February.

They slowly got to know each other over the next eight months but agreed not to date until Rick’s divorce was final, which seemed to take forever. They finally had their first date and started planning their future, making those dreams and plans a reality.

They got engaged August 21and married March 2 of the following year with all their family and friends present. Another big thank you to Great Expectations for making all this possible!

They had their first date in August at Applebee’s and had such a wonderful time talking and laughing for three and a half hours. When they went to leave the restaurant Otis gave her a hug goodbye and asked if he could call her again. Since that first day, they saw each other every other day even if only for a couple hours.

By the following December, they were engaged. Otis was very sly about getting Pamela her ring. They went with Pamela’s son, who was also shopping for a ring for his girlfriend. They were all three looking and not sure what to pick out when Otis suggested, “Pamela why don’t you just pick the one you would like, I’m sure she would like it as well.”  She picked the one she liked, her son chose a different one of course! That Christmas under the tree was a package for Pamela containing the beautiful ring she thought she was picking out for a future daughter-in-law.

They were married January 26 of the following year and still laugh and have fun with each other every single day. They wanted to say, “Thank you Great Expectations for making this possible!”

Her friend called me back about an hour later.  The plan was to take her to dinner at the Olive Garden and make the proposal there.  Her friend was going to make a small wedding cake and then it would be given to her after dinner.  The problem was that I was off at 3 and there was no time to go to her house and get the cake.  So I called Erika and told her that I would not get off until 6 due to an employee calling in sick.  To make the story sound truer I had my boss shout and curse that I would have to stay due to an employee calling out sick while I was on the phone with Erika.  Thankfully she believed it.  Finally at 3 I got off, drove from Fountain Hills to Gilbert, picked up her friend, drove to the Fry’s, got all the stuff, drove back to her house, spent 2 hours making the cake, then drove to the Olive Garden, gave the cake to the manager and explained what I needed.

Then I finally drove back to Erika’s house to get ready for dinner.  I got home and about an hour later we arrived at Olive Garden.  We were shown to our table (pre arranged near the back, few people were around us) and proceeded to have dinner.  I know Erika usually does not order dessert so after the meal the waiter was supposed to ask if we would like to order pumpkin cheese cake.  The funny thing is that pumpkin cheese cake was not even on the menu!  We finished the meal and when we were done he did ask, and she declined, I then told him that we were all set.  A few minutes later the manager walked right up to her and placed the cake in front of her, with the lettering on top “Will you marry me?” I then walked around the table, got on my knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with me.  She did not hesitate and said yes!

The manager came up and congratulated us. A couple behind us turned around and started clapping.

For me I joined Great Expectations because dating alone was hard due my very shy personality.  We both had bad experiences and decided to give the company a shot. I (Ryan) was a member with Great Expectations for only 3 months; Erika had been a member for about a year and a half.

We have never been married nor had any children before (unless you count 3 cats).
At this time we leaned toward moving in a few years to Sacramento, which is very close to her step sisters, mom, and step dad.

I would tell anyone who is thinking of joining that Great Expectations gave me a chance to meet someone and due to a very loving, thoughtful staff I was given a chance where others would never have given me the time of day.  I would encourage anyone who is just thinking of joining because the Great Expectations staff does more than work, they take pride in their jobs. They gave me a chance and that has given me the most incredible memories of the woman I plan to spend the rest of my life with.

About two weeks later, we decided to see each other again. JR brought me a long-stemmed red rose and it was then that I realized how romantic he is. We shared our first kiss in the parking lot of the restaurant. We communicated through emails a lot at this point. I later cooked dinner for JR at my home shortly before the holidays. While I cooked dinner, he entertained my cat, Licorice with her laser mouse toy.

Because of our busy schedules, we finally got together again and I asked him if he would like to spend Christmas day with me and my family. He accepted and thus met many of my family members that day. We rang in the New Year together at my sister’s home a week later.

Almost from that point on, we saw each other weekly and talked every night on the phone. We realized early on that we wanted to be together, so JR set about looking for a full-time position to consolidate both jobs into one.  He succeeded and would be transferred to a restaurant closer to me.

On May 2, 2009 my sisters and I traveled to the restaurant where JR worked.  He proposed to me on bended knee in front of his friends, coworkers and all of the customers in the restaurant. Needless to say, I accepted and we are now planning our wedding schedule for June 26, 2010.

Cheryl decided to join after her 19 year marriage had ended. After dating for a while they became engaged and married two years later. They had an exciting honeymoon in England and Scotland. Both stated that they would highly recommend GE because it is a great way to find a great match “without having to wade through tons of duds”!
